Yes, Gmail Accounts which have not been used for 2 years will be closed in December. Thus, a warning message is also sent to keep the account once logged in.
Google updated the security rules last May. Already its vice president Ruth Critchell said that in the coming December, they will start deleting personal Google accounts that have not been logged in or used even once in the last 2 years. It has informed that we will continuously cancel accounts that are not used at least for the next two years.
As per rule, only personal Google accounts (G-Mail, Docs, Drive, Meet, Calendar, Google Photos etc.) will be deleted. Google accounts owned by organizations such as companies or schools will not be deleted
